New Motor Vlogger

BigGreek

Back at it
What's up everybody! My names Terry, but my vlogger names going to be BigGreek. I've been riding for about 6 years now, and have been recording my rides and adventures with a contour roam 2. I have since upgraded to a go pro 3 +, and currently ride a 2007 R6 I just recently came across motorvlogging community through youtube and thought I should give it a try. I was wondering if anyone had any useful tips, or suggestions to help me get started. Also are any vloggers located in NJ, NY that would be down to meet up and ride.

Looking forward to riding, vlogging and making new friends! OPA

Welcome! The best start you can do is sort out your microphone setup to get decent speech/audio while zooming around on your R6.

Thank you all for the warm welcome wishes!
I currently just picked up a skeleton case for my go pro along with the Movo GM100 Lavalier Lapel Clip-on Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone for my first set-up. I figured as I continue I may want to upgrade. Also for my fellow vloggers, if you have a youtube account you vlog from please send me the links!

Getting the hardware is just the start, now you'll have to do some trial and errors in the camera angel, microphone placement, to get the ideal setup that works for you.

I have been slowly subscribing to everyone who I come across and have the pleasure of speaking with on the forum, as I look to learn and slowly progress in this ever evolving motovlogging community!

That's a great start! I'm also using a 3+ as my primary. Black edition. And like @SighBored suggested, play with the placement and direction and such on the mic. Also with the location on the helmet/chest/whatever of the camera.

Links also in my sig if you're interested. You should add your channel in yours too!
