After waiting 3 weeks my new Drift4K arrived yesterday all charged up - firmware upgraded - setup via APP - now to position it on the new helmet Schuberth R2

Where did I get it from might be interesting to some of you as I paid just over £200 when normally it is just under £300
Did I get a bargain?

It is certain somewhat smaller than my Ghost HD

That certainly is a lot smaller! :-) I guess they have had to drop the price due to the issues some folk have had with them and with GoPro dropping their prices too

Interested to see what you think of it. I’ve been looking at them a fair bit lately

I looked at the Ghost 4K just before I brought my Ghost S but it was riddled wuth issuesbat the the time si I started looking at the Ghost S and got a steal there. I haven't seen anything after the intial launch of reviews so I don't know if they fixed them. Be intesting to see if they fixed them.

There have been a couple of firmware update since release. If you look at them all they say they have fixed issues, but as we know thats not always the case.

I've been having issues with both my drifts lately that I'm sure is SD card related. I seem to only get about a year out of them and they start to play up.

hey can you point me in the direction of these BAD reviews to see if I experience any of the issues....

Is that 3 hours at 1080p 60fps?
I personally haven't used it yet so those questions a bit early for me to answer

but since you asked I will re cord at 1080 but I have the choice of 30 50 60 100 fps plus more

is 50 or 60 fps better - which and why?

50fps is for indoor use in the UK as it'll match the frequency of the lights (50Hz). 60fps is ideal on bike as it is nice and smooth yet still grabs enough light to pick up details from the shadows. 30fps if riding in the dark but if you go fast at 30fps it can be a bit jumpy.

wow, that is a hefty sized unit.
would be interesting to see how it compares with the GoPro in terms of quality and battery life, and to see what extra features they packed into that body.

do you notice it on the side of your helmet? I imagine it creates some drag or wind noise?

the Ghost HD is ⅓ size bigger and never knew it was there
I guess when your helmet id 1350g another 126g is not so much
