Yes, the time has finally come to change my slow, tiny YBR125, and replace it with something shiney and new!

I put a deposit down on a CBR250R ABS last weekend, and actually paid for it today. :D

Should have it in the next 10 days :)

I'll be posting a farewell video to my YBR in the next few days :)

I think that's the best choice of the available 250's, not dissing the baby ninja, but I'd choose the Honda over it. Nice one.

Its cheaper, better built, and I personally found it more comfortable. No brainer for me!

I sold quite a few (4?) when I worked at the dealership. Decent bikes. In fact Honda is selling them at around break even price. They are hoping for it to spark brand loyalty in younger riders here in the States. They make their profit off the 600rr's and 1Ks. :geek:

Ah, this is interesting to know. So no wonder Honda is selling them for cheaper. I wonder if after their 250s become more popular, they'll raise the price to try and make some more profit...

I think they are doing something similar with their NC 700 or whatever it's called, half a car engine in a bike?

Seems very inexpensive to me. Not my cup of tea, followed my mate round as he test rode one. It's clearly better to ride on the open road in every respect than my sertao, but that kinda misses the point, mine is more "engaging" :D

the honda will be on top as long as yamaha don't make the yzf r250 if they do that will be number one

Couldn't agree more. Personally not a big fan of 250's as I think they are just fast 125's however that honda looks stunning and I would love to see what yamaha could do.

I'd still take the 250rr over the 250r any day.... but since it's no longer being produced, the 250r is the next best 250 to get. Congrats!

The only thing I don't like about that, and a lot of new bikes seem to be going this way, is the exhaust. other than that, it's a very nice bike.

I agree. Gives you an excuse to change it I guess.

Were I live in the US the ninjas are Waaaaayyyy cheaper than the honda 250's.

Prices vary an incredible amount country to country. Suppose it depends mainly on how competitive the market is.
