Hehe! I can assure you if I bough a sports bike, it wouldn't be having a rack fitted! Luggage is for touring bikes. If I was going anywhere on a sports, maybe tank bag/tail pack.

I intend keeping a tourer for distance and luggage, and a sports would be strictly fun and no salt, well depends on what nick it's in to start with.

That's my plan too lurch. Street Triple for the mountain runs and a Tiger, GS or Super Blackbird for long distance Euro tours.

Nobody will talk to you if you buy a GS, and you'll loose your license with a Blackbird

There's an awful lot of GS riders in Switzerland scraping their pegs with the rest of us. We don't have this daft us vs them attitude to biking around here, I get the freedom salute from Harley riders to super sports to those weird pedal bike things with engines they have here.

My girlfriend's mother and brother both have super blackbirds, they're great machines to ride.

Having said all that, a Tiger would be top of my list
