I have grown tired of how I normally pass time at work...

...and wanted to stimulate some intellectual motovlogging conversation. The topic is netiquette or internet etiquette.

I am not meaning wipe down the equipment after your workout ;) but rather communicating via the web.

Where I work we have phone, in person, email, and a DOS based program for referring stuff to each other. I see a few folks who don't know to respond in kind. For example, refer a case in the DOS program and expect a reply some other way.

Same happens in motovlogging so here are some tips. Feel free to add your own

1. Instagram - for still photos and short videos. You got to have visual component to the message. You have reply in written format.

2. Facebook - written entries are only so-so. Videos are better along with gifs. Memes outrank just a photo. Answers should be gif or meme. After all, if we wanted to read then we would grab a book, right?

3. YouTube - videos. Then answer in writing. Troll fights are no holds barred. Do not comment on a video with a link to another video unless you want your comment to get lost in the servers:D

4. Twitter - this is where my B material that was not a photo or video goes. Replies seem to work well in writing. If your Twit level is strong then it seems you use all caps.:p

Finally, any live stream should have witty comments including ones that are off topic. I love when a live stream is one topic and the audience driven conversation is way over someplace else but still loosely associated. For example,

What tips do you all have to keep online interacting fun and entertaining?
 
I have to say, I am possibly a fuddy duddy, but I prefer comments to be comments rather than gifs or memes... it is probably due to me not getting the reference mostly as some gifs/memes are of higher intellect than my tiny brain....

I don't believe for one moment that you are not entertained by pictures. :p
