I don't know if there is anything wrong or not, but I can hear a faint(ish) sound like a bell ringing or even like a dime being tossed around coming out of right side of my bike, possibly the engine. I'm just wondering if it's normal or if I should be worried. The performance of my bike is fine, nothing seems wrong, not overheating.

Keeping in mind I don't know anything about engines, there is also a little hole in the right side of my engine, like a drill hole. It's between two of the little bars shown below.

Kawasaki's do tend to have quite a bit of engine noise, if it's not that loud then I don't think it's anything to worry about. But if you're want to be sure get one of your friends who knows about mechanics to listen to it, I suppose it is possible that the valves need adjusting.

My guess is that it's a breather hole for the head.

1. Does it get louder when you open the throttle?
2. Can you hear it while riding or is it just when it's ticking over?

It may not be comming from that part of the engine, alot of engines are cast hollow, so if there was a sound it could be 'echoing' around the engine.
