Nearly crashed...

Hey,

So on my drive to work I nearly went into the back of a car that pulled out while filtering through slow moving traffic. Scary stuff, but my bike and I survived...

He may have looked and decided to go anyway - I know some car drivers will do that. Even while overtaking once in my Alfa, a knob in a BMW decided he couldn't be arsed to wait and took the three abreast approach!

Whenever you are first in line and the first opportunity arrives many take it. It is incumbent on us to be aware of our own vulnerability and ensure we ride defensively. I remember being on a bike as a kid and I started to go - no cbt and no training in those days - as I was next in line and a car had done to me what you tried to do to him. But he was bigger and not giving a shit either so I bailed pretty sharpish.
