Very well done bro! Better to be rolling it onto a curb to get it restarted than onto a flat bed truck (lorry for you english chaps and fellows lol) to get appraised by an insurance adjuster!

Normally with these sort of videos the biker is blinded by their own failings or they certainly could have helped prevent such events, however in my mind you did everything by the book and some pillock still manages to pull out in front of you! Glad you're ok. It's a shame that driver didn't get a good.... telling off!

Glad you didn't lay it down, even a mild looking lay down can hurt you bad, good job on avoiding that car. I think although this was a good learning experience for you and you probably realize many things you could have done differently, I would still like to share a few tips.
-When approaching a merging intersection such as your video, always cover your brakes and be ready to use them until you are past the possible hazard.
-Watch the tires of the car for movement, at the slightest rotation be ready for them to fully pull out in front of you and plan your escape route.
-Always assume they do not see you, even if you see them look in your direction, be prepared to either brake hard or maneuver your bike around them.
None of this means you have to ride with fear or timidness, just that you should always be planning for your "what if..." moments and evaluating your surroundings.

Always think a car driver will do the worst possible thing and they will often prove you right. Thinking this will severely limit the amount of "suprises" you encounter on the road, as long as you are not suprised, most of these instances will be easilly avoided.

Thanks for the tips, I'm sure i'll have plenty of more moments like I had here for me to practice with!

Good tips, everyone should do these so they just become a normal unconscious habit.
