My Vfr

Here's the first pic I took of my VFR800 last week after picking it up from Chiswick Honda. Took a ride through Richmond park on the way out of London.

If you're able to zoom in there's a load of deer in the background by the trees

I kinda like the vfr but it's a Honda and I don't know how I feel about that.

Its not that I dislike Honda's I really can't put my finger on it but they just don't do it for me.

For a long time though no Jap bike really did, buy I'm seeing the error of my ways now with trouble free riding.

My Honda is 17 years old this year. In the 3 and a bit years I've owned it, I've done fork seals, but they're rubber, and I've replaced the fuel pump points. The reg/rec also blew, but not uncommon with the older shunt types, and while older Hondas are known for it, it's not limited to Honda, so all in pretty much trouble free.

Plus it's shaft drive, so half a pint of oil every few years, no maintenance, no cleaning, and no parts to replace.

Well I love it and that's all that matters, and let's face it if we all liked the same thing what a lack of diversity there'd be. Rode to work in the freezing this morning and didn't care, I was happy.

Sounds like we could convert him too

No, just a toastie new pair of Furygan winter gloves. My hands were cosy. I feel a review coming on, will add it to the list of topics I've been writing down!
