My Sharing Of My Youtube Channel Idea!?

So I been thinking of different ways of sharing my channel and trying to grow it further.
My area has a huge shortage of riders to interact with that have any interest in the Vlogging or watching of youtube videos part of all this lol.
Can I interact with the general public and gather genuine followers?
I see channels do giveaways of items. Small channels do gift cards as well as big channels do bigger giveaways.
But I wanted to find a way to get watchers that weren't completely interested or didn't ride bikes as well as those that do.
Since my riding area can run out of ideas and " cool things " to video as well as new places to see real quick I thought of this idea and want to run it by you fine folk first.

How about I was to post signs in places offering a treasure hunt of giveaways ( for now things such as gift cards ) in different towns I ride frequent . Post a sign in a store , Local school or college stations , stating all my channel info and what I'm about and to watch my videos and catch me in their town and find where I hid the " treasure boxes ". With the tell a friend to join the fun adage ?

Would it work?

Do you really need to interact with the public or do giveaways? They generally don't help. You should be focusing on interacting with people who are engaging you on your channel in the comments or your social media. For your content, it's vlogging. Maybe think small first, go on rides and just have natural interactions with your real friends who you ride with. Travel, go to interesting and beautiful locations you know about in your vicinity.

I find giveaways to be very tryhard. And people will notice that too, not to mention it does very little to grow your channel, merely rewards those who have been around.

I just like to have fun and liked the idea of the treasure hunt . To me wasn't just rewarding someone as much as the fun and the word about the channel locally to attract more people in that do want to participate in my vids via riding with me or their cars ,shops and maybe businesses ( to be able to maybe do local YouTube commercials for those Internet unsavy few) . Just an idea to grow in different directions and still have basically the same content. ? Idk was just an idea but I do know the more views and subs you have the faster you will grow and be more known as well. I'm not looking for famous just have always been part of the community and helped those in need when I can and find this a way to just try and help someone a lil bit even if it's just the fun factor behind it .

P.s. I closed my Facebook along time ago and have zero need for it to ever go back. Was best thing I ever done. Do you know more than 75% of those people you see on their phone in their cars as you ride by are checking theirs..... Lol.

Did you know that YouTube has only 1.5 billion logged in monthly users whereas Facebook has 2.1 billion active users? Not using the book of faces to share your tubes of ewes is limiting your audience! :)

I doubled my subs on YouTube after sharing some vids on a couple of Facebook pages, not all traffic came from there but it had a definite impact!

My wife , my friends and people in the videos are more than free to share and are asked to. As far as me and Facebook I'll be just fine without it! I watch scary movies and would rather not be a FB zombie. And 1.5 B is plenty for lil ole me.

That's cool, not trying to sell it if you don't see any value in it. You do realise that you can have a Facebook account and not use it except to create a page for your YouTube channel which you could then share videos to targeted groups etc? For example the Buell group on FB has over 8k members who'd possibly love to see your motovlogs, but just don't know you exist! :)

Oh , I'm always trying to sell it! It's gold to me! That's why I have the unfair Advantage of a good looking girlfriend who rides the very same brand bike and already partakes in all the FB Buell pages that I'm sure they would rather see ride than my ugly mug..... 8)

P.s. remind myself to haves wife share vids there....duh. !

Thanks HippoDrone I been slacking there

I'm planning on Branding my motorcycle. Big stickers with my channel name/ youtube stickers and a QR code. So when I go to bike meets people may want to check it out :).

My bike has stickers on both sides of the tail. And I have been asked about them as well as came out of a gas station and people be looking it up. Wife thought it's cheesy and ugly but I think it works.

People are curious :), this is why there is going to be QR code on my tank :D. As for the stickers they should be self explanatory so they know what is up :). Cheese or not it is a free advertisement.

I even put one on the lowrider.

Personally I would find it too much work to setup treasure hunts or interact with people, I'm not really a social butterfly, I prefer to just do my own thing quietly, hence my anonymity and low profile. Then again I wasn't all out to get channel growth and all that jazz, so I guess I can't really identify with what you're trying to accomplish.

On a side note, if you are keen on growth and interaction, but yet denying yourself using Facebook as one of the platforms for such, seems a bit odd to me. If you want to promote and grow your channel, no holds barred, use every possible resource.
