My premature absence

I started vlogging less than a month ago, and I expected to continue for months to come.

However...

I just received a call from the Navy careers office in Bristol and I'm now starting my basic training on the 9th of October, less than three weeks away!

I'm sure I'll be back in the future, and I'll try and do a couple more videos before I leave.

This is not goodbye fellow vloggers!

Wow.

Thats pretty big news.
Basic training lasts a month, right? Then you start getting some free time again?

I'm sure we'll see you after that month, and you still have some time before you go away :D

Good luck man.

10 weeks you mean...

Then a couple days free time, then some more training, but less enforced so I may be able to vlog then. I'll likely take my bike rather than my car for money's sake (and fun :D).

I've been in a daze for the past hour or so now.

I think that's a record on how long it took to bring that up... You are a polite bunch, aren't you? :P

As to why, because I can't be a pilot with glasses and I'll still be able to see the world. I might be able to take my camera with me, hire a bike then vlog abroad...maybe.

I was in the Navy from 1997 to 2001 as an Aviation Mechanic. Best job I've ever had...only didn't realize it until I got out and got stuck in the crappy job I have today.

I was a corpsman during Vietnam. It was not fun but satisfying and I am glad I was able to help...it beat the heck out of a lot of jobs for a young fellow.

Navy is a good choice, you will get to see the world. Which is much better then being stuck in a 10 man tent in Afghanistan a year at a time.

I'm back! (I know, non-event of the century...) It's so weird riding again, but it feels amazing.

Will hopefully put a vid together tomorrow :D

Great to see you and your shiny Diversion back.

I notice in your video you talk about the wet and dry clothes, but you never mention trousers. Is that normal in the Navy? :P
