You'll get a shock going from an RS to a GS! but still, £150 you can't really go wrong!

I went from moped to GPZ didn't I, then difference in power feels massive. But it soon wears off.

Turn it into a Cafe Racer? Would look awesome, So much rust on one bike blody'hell.

The screen on your RS is looking a little short aswell? I miss mine, Screeming past someone on the M/way at 100 tucked behind the screen screeming it boobies off. Arrwww man such a good first bike.

Yep, she was an ex-race bike. Just took the Power Valve off & Blocked a hose in the Air box.

Few Clutch problems as the last owner was a Girl  , Never looked after it. Sold here for £50 less than what I bought her for haha. Not bad ey?

Good bike's they GS500's, my mate had one with full fairing for a while.

It will be good in standard form, but the odd bit of modification wouldn't go a miss with it.

Yeah already got a different exhaust (was cheaper than buying OEM exhaust) ... My rs50 i must admit i hate now i've ridden the GS for like 2 minutes from the house to the garage (Honest officer i have a licence *Cheeky grin*) and even then it was nice to hit 30 without thinking *This is taking a while*

Thats not alot of rust ... One minor part and its only surface rust (LUCKY!!) i've seen My brothers GS500 which has done 60k miles he left in garage for a couple of months forgot about it and his whole swingarm and underside of frame are rusted to shit now .... The one problem i had with mine was the front engine mount ... (Steel and ally fused together) And naaah... Would rather not cafe racer it lol ... would jack the insurance up .. ( they'd find a way to make it cost me more) ...

They want £500 to insure Third party F&T with a oxford anchor force ground anchor, Datatool S4 Alarm and a Alpha.dot system !!! Cheeky buggers (confused.com)

Especially when you compare it to my Dad, 1st year back on a bike since 1993, on an SV1000. Fully comp, with euro breackdown cover and all the other trimmings, £60. Can't wait until the day I get prices like that. Although I suppose it comes with the fault of then being old and uncomfortable on sportbikes.

Age is a massive factor, NCB + Age are the biggest factors within insruance.

This was just a test quote.

Me - 21 - SV650 - 2NCB - £415 Fully Comp

When I reach 21 I'll have 5years NCB so it will be alot cheaper.

It also depends on your bike, if I bought a GS650 they would lower it due to it being a "touring bike", if I where to buy a Mille or a ZX10 "Super Sports", it would be alot higher. They asses your bike on it's capablitlys, Sports Tourers are usually the one's in the middle and "Sit up-& Beg" Bikes, like your Naked SV's, Bandits, FZ6, YBR's & many more. They are your lower end insurance costs due to their style of riding.
