The remote is crap, you can never be sure if it's actually worked. I never use it anymore. Apart from that the Drift is a great camera.

my remote has always worked 100%, i can hear the drift beep through my helmet every-time i start to record, maybe yours is worn or low on battery power??

I have a problem of it not stopping when I press the stop button on my remote, the record button is fine.
