Moving Audio "talk Chat" To Another Part Of The Movie

Drift Ghost S, Mac iMovie. I want to move some of my speech to another part of my movie is it possible? I know I can clip it and move it but it has all of the background sound of the bike, I don't want to move some speech to when I sit at traffic lights only for the viewer to hear me change gear.

Bottom line: Can I extract the speech from the rest of the "noise" and over lay it elsewhere in the movie?

Sure you can, it's all playing with frequencies, and all that stuff though, so isn't just as easy as clicking and dragging.

It's a whole game of playing with balancing. I can't help you much with it.

However I suggest maybe rerecording the speech in your room and putting it in the video

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Even for audio professionals this is a very difficult time consuming and manual process, and the results will be nearly impossible to get sounding natural.

It is possible ans yes I can do it... but sod it it takes time and the result is often a bit like you have run your voice through some nice effect and tried to put it back together again. Audacity is what you want to look at.

As someone said if its just a voice over, record it in your room and overlay it onto the sound that is there? It's what most people do, takes a few moments and is piss easy.
