Motovloggers: Sub 4 Sub?

If the person who subs me is part of a hobby, such as motovlogging, horror stories, smoking pipes or whatever I am interested in, I'll usually sub back. If they don't have vids I usually don't sub back. If their vids are something I don't do or know nothing about, like Xbox mods or minecraft I probably won't sub back.

ive been so behind on watching my subscriptions. but i dont usually sub someone else just because they subbed me. if they want to support me by subbing thats great, but if theyre expecting the same in return they need to prove to me by having good content. im in no way saying i have good content at all haha but it also comes down to being able to respect what the person is doing it and whether they are putting themselves out there to the world. all in all if ive met you face to face ill follow and have a better chance of wanting to watch your videos over the more popular vloggers, unless the topic truly interests me. lots of good feedback in here though

I've recently found that a lot of people I'm subscribed to are doing vlogs very rarely. Maybe it's the good weather getting them out rather than inside editing and rendering. Also that I keep looking at my subscriber list to see who I have not subscribed to that has videos, and people I am sure I have subbed to are suddenly unsubbed. I don't know what is going on with YT to tell you the truth, not even sure if any of my subscribers are receiving notifications. It's all a little bit strange

I just sub the people I want to watch. I basically have no subs as I have no content at the moment, so I'm not really worried about it.

This is an interesting thread.

I am similar to @AndyManCam with the other twitter page. Got one set up and worked it quite nicely to get about 1,500 followers (nothing like your 11k!), but it was empty, a few RT's and likes but rarely, if ever, a comment.

Now is the time to build a real community with real subs and interact with people from all over the world via the media we are all enjoying.

Hey guys, you all got me convinced. Previously I was all for sub4sub and thought that would be the next thing I'll try. But now I get it.

Im still new, and I want people to see my videos. I am still figuring out how to publicise and get more exposure for my channel.

Seen some of the guys started later than me and already hit 500 subscribers in two weeks. Gosh..

Im constantly reviewing my videos. Hopefully I can improve the quality of my work.

I'm subscribed to so many people I can't even be bothered to keep up with everything posted. However, I'm only subscribed to people I actually want to watch and have impressed me at some point with their videos. I go through my watch list and add videos to my Watch Later playlist if and only if they have an interesting title, thumbnail, AND a clear description of what I can expect to see. If they're vague or clearly trying to sensationalize bullshit I move along and never watch the video. I'm too busy to piss away hours each day on lame inside jokes and 10+ minute videos with mostly filler.

I halved my subscriptions recently because I had way too many to keep on top of. My "watch later" list is well over 1000 videos long!

I cut mine down by removing any videos over 10 minutes from the list. Used to be up around 500.

Some of the best stuff is over 10 minutes long so I'm not going to miss out by culling like that.

I left a few from people I know have no-BS no-filler content, but anything with no description, seemingly sensationalist thumbnail/title I axed. Time is money.

I watch everyone I sub to usually. and we all want more subs. unlike most people I don't mind the sub for sub idea. but if I get bored of a channel or have a problem with it (not saying yours) I will unsub
