Moto Podcasts?

Eh, so the season is about to close over here. It's gonna be super cold soon so no vlogs no nothing :( I'm thinking of either posting podcasts on Youtube or iTunes. I got smoe good equipment to record my voice.

Any thoughts on this? if you guys would actually listen to 'em? And if yes, what topics would you like discussed?

Hell, I could even talk about personal stuff, if any of you people have some weird questions for me haha.

I wouldn't mind podcasts, but I don't think they will replace motovlogs. podcasts demands way more time from the audience.
A podcast should be a more regular thing than just off-season stuff.

Gotcha, I agree. Well I'm not saying a huge 1 hour podcast like the usual stuff you see (hear?) in that industry. Think more along the lines of a motovlog (5-10 mins) without actual video of riding, since I can't do that off season... eh idk

You might as well just narrate some generic silent riding footage. Which is a turn-off for some. The best alternative content is posting from a backlog, lists, compilations and fresh recordings from activities other than riding the bike. In my case that would be snowmobiles, skiing and whatnot.
There is plenty of ideas in the "off season" thread.

I'd say, if you wanna podcast, do at least 30 minutes. If you have a topic at all and someone to discuss with, you're set. Can be done over Skype even.

What you could do is a skype interview with like 20 questions, bike related and personal and each episode you interview a person on this forum =)

That is actually one great idea for sure! Gotta figure out 20 questons. Probably not repeating though, have like 60 something questions and ask each guy a group of 20

That would be awsome =) Would gladly be a part of one episode there ;) Hope you make it a reality mate!

Hey, can I ask you to keep an eye on my channel? I'll do a short youtube video inviting people for future interview/questions. Eh?

Ofcourse =) You could make a video asking people to comment questions you should ask the "victims" ;) aswell as people they want interviewed.
I'll keep my eyes open for a vid from you =)

Or... you could ride around asking the questions, and also sending the questions to the biker you are interviewing, making him/her record when riding and answering the questions for you to edit in your clip ;)

Keep in mind that the idea of podcasts was initially for the off season.
We know that the "motovlog style interview" deal works well already. So I support doing that too.

Thanks! Like F4celess already mentioned, I got the idea mainly for an activity during the off season. I'll do a video one of these days that will be a call for people who'd like to get interviewed or questions that people have for motorcycle riders/vloggers. Sounds like a great suggestion!

Hey everyone, I'd like to keep you informed that the motovlog announcement video is up (check on my youtube accountm I think I am not allowed to post a video here).

Also @MotoMisc You get a shoutout there for the idea! Thanks!

I have a group which does weekly live streams, they are pretty good according to our attendees. Typically runs for about 2 hour, every Thursday (tentative depending on other factors such as holidays or if members are too busy. They are pretty fun, so long as everyone contributes.

I like podcasts, I listen to them at work since YouTube doesn't continue to play audio in the background on the phone anymore. The Law Abiding Biker podcast is the one I've been listening too here lately. The hosts can be a bit annoying at times and they always drone on about how good their equipment is. If you can make it through the BS they have really good content over bikes (usually Harley's) technical topics, clubs, etc. They are biker cops so you get to see the other side of most issues.

Without some visualization I guess its hard. Podcasts need to be great in order to keep moto enthusiast stick to the same.

honestly if you are interesting enough podcast would be a great platform. Not alot out there youd be a big fish in a small pond quickly, if you stick to it
