Yeah, probably not much defense there. I do the same thing. I speed and drive aggressive. I usually only split when traffic is stopped, but I've been know to do it at high speed if I try to merge and one of the cars tries to cut me off. Occasionally, I'll get yelled at by the police, so I just do like you did and shut up and pay the money. I don't get in trouble often so I usually get it deferred so it doesn't go against my record if I'm good for 6 months, which I usually am.

Wow, when you said careless driving I was shocked - in this country it's a very serious charge, can be anything from $500 fine to 3 years in jail depending on what you did. Don't scare me like that!!!

That would be like reckless driving here. Careless driving isnt as big of a deal apparently.
