Mono Mic On Gopro Hero4 Silver

So this is probably something you've all figured out. There may even be a thread on this already, but I wanted to share the solution I found with you all as someone may find it helpful.
I bought an Olympus mic for my Gopro camera along with an adapter. But when I tested it, there was a slight buzzing sound. I figured it must be because the the mic is a mono, and the adapter for the go pro takes stereo. So I purchased a mono to stereo adapter and now the buzzing sound is gone. Just thought I'd share that in case anyone out there might be having a similar issue.

Had this just yeasterday. Used a cheapo adapter and thought it was that. Just got back from shops now with the dearer gopro brand. Probably dont need it now lol. Think ill be giving the mono to stereo adapter a go.

I was lucky and the Go Pro brand adapter worked with the mic not making any buzzing.

Nice fix, good to know I also went and dropped $65 on a GoPro branded cable.... Twice after it broke within 4 months... I will take your advice next time the cable breaks thanks!
