Whats with the confusion mate? haha

And I have adblocker installed from a long time ago. Around when they first started coming out I was using them on Google Chrome. I don't turn it off. But sometimes I watch people's videos on my phone to give them credit for the videos; and even sometimes click the ads on my phone to give them some extra ca$h Monayy :D

yeh i let the ads display. Sometimes (and its rare) there will be something i am actually interested in. The only thing that annoys me is when i get the same ad playing over and over.
On my mobile i am using a windows phone, so with the browser in mobile mode you don't get ads displaying and if you run in desktop mode the ads loop over and over. So i don't allow ads on youtube when mobile browsing.

For me i do have ads turned on. I have 315 views on my 1st bike review i did which is 2 weeks old and i am one spot away from the front page of search in youtube. Secretly i hope to make a few coins out of youtube, but more just because i would like it to help fund buying extra camera mounts and more gopro cameras. I did that on a channel with my name on it, not expecting to get a GoPro, but when people liked it i decided to get the camera and start an anonymous channel so my content can be a bit "looser" LOL.

So close to 500 now after a 2 weeks if you combine both channels. I would hope people see the ads, but i would not begrudge anyone who blocked them. I agree that helping someone out even if it means no $$$, what is important i think is more views, which makes people more likely to pick your content over someone elses.

don't worry man, this website was paying funny bugger with me, a lot of my posts came out strange

I used to monetize my lame videos on YouTube but discovered it wasn't worth it..... back at that time, I only earned $.12 over a period of time and had to make $10 in a month, if I remember right, to cash in. A complete waste of time, so I took all adds off. YouTube do what :p ??? Back at 'ya!

Now even more annoying are those instant-play videos, like mentioned above. Guess YouTube needs to make a buck or $1B somehow ~_~ .....

I watch an add if it interests me, but I will skip if it does not. I expect everyone to do the same when they watch the ads that pre-roll my videos.

If I like someone's content enough to subscribe then I'll watch the whole add and even click if I'm mildly interested. I figure if I don't do what I can to encourage the folks I routinely watch they're more likely to stop producing content.

Out of curiosity, has anyone here made decent money from monetizing their motovlogs? I've considered it, but if it's a shit amount, I won't bother. I'd love to be able to generate enough to get a better/second camera and even a new laptop to make better-edited videos.

o_O

I haven't got popular enough to monetise stuff.... And I admire your drive in wanting to make it work! ... But... How many videos and what of .. Are you planning to upload to fund the camera and laptop!? ... 'Word on the street' is that each individual view isn't that cashed up.... It's gotta be almost viral or higher to make it worthy!

yeh im not sure how much they earn i know being abit more famous helps like bvg went to the iom with dainese and agv
