Nice long vlog since I missed last week. Audio is FIXED - thanks for your patience! Hero 3 and Icon Variant make their debut. I pop up to the best view in Cape Town, and get called hurtful names by an old lady. Thanks for watching. :)

I hate the idea of vloggers being sponsored, it goes against everything that made me start. But hey, you get free shit right?

Oh and the owner of RHOK isn't THAT nice, he did start trolling Blake :P

Anyway, nice views, sometimes it's better not to go fast, so you can appreciate the scenery a little more :)

I knew going in there'd probably be people who didn't agree with sponsorship, but to each their own. I like supporting small business, and I think they make a quality product. Does it hurt that it's free? Of course not. Everyone likes free stuff. But I'm sure you know as well as I do how much vloggers spend on gear and equipment for something that pays nothing. Nice when someone offers to give you a hand.

I'll always make vids for my subs - that's why I've spent well over $1000 in equipment alone. I'll never recoup that money, and that's okay too :) I wager most people are happy to see my channel get a bit more exposure and grow a bigger audience. It motivates me to make more vids, and I'm hoping that's what subs want, haha.

I'm still a chicken sh** on corners, but thanks for giving me an excuse for my painfully slow turns! Scenery. It was all so I could take in the scenery! :mrgreen:

I believe M13 was the first motorcyclist sponsored by RHOK and he does ride a sport bike. :ugeek:

Hey, you put adverts on your channel. Tell me what is the difference? Miggs is not obligated to talk about the product, like your not obligated to talk about the ads shown on your channel. A company asked if they can put their logo on his vids, and he got paid. You allow ads on your vid and you get paid. You musn't "hate" the idea... maybe your just concerned about obligations?

Hey, you put adverts on your channel. Tell me what is the difference? Miggs is not obligated to talk about the product, like your not obligated to talk about the ads shown on your channel. A company asked if they can put their logo on his vids, and he got paid. You allow ads on your vid and you get paid. You musn't "hate" the idea... maybe your just concerned about obligations?

There's a huge difference in sticking an advert on your channel, and saying 'hey go and buy these they're great' in every video.

(I'm not saying that's what Miggs has done, but you get my point)

yes and no. What are Miggs terms? If he was told he can have a pair of pants if he praises the product, im completely with you. If he was told he can have a pair of pants if he puts 2 seconds of the word RHOK at the start of his video for 20 videos, then that is absolutely no different to you clicking "monetise".

The way I look at it is that the R company, as it shall hence forth be known, has taken a risk by letting people say what they like about their product. But they have faith in their product and from what I have seen, no one has spoken poorly of the product. So its paying off for R at the moment.

Is this a random sentence Peter? Have you been drinking again? I'll assume your saying they sent you a pair with no obligations what so ever? If this is what R is doing, that is amazing... more than faith in their product. But im doubting it.

I don't get what the issue here is apart from the dodgy comment that was left about another vlogger. The whole point about what is trying to be done is they trust their products to be good and will have success/fail on peoples word.

IMO it's a useful way of advertising at a fairly inexpensive cost.

Would be neat if they just gave it to him assuming that they wouldn't gain publicity out of it. But I think they will get more publicity since he did just mention it within this thread.

Sorry I'm just coming back to you guys now. I (unfortunately) had a chance to try out the jeans last night when a wino stumbled/tripped/hurled himself in front of my bike when I was turning off a main road. No crash footage. Rundown video up soon.

I offered to do a review for Rhok before they sent me the jeans. I now consider myself part of their vloggers "team," if you will, (group? sponsored riders? don'tknowwhatelsetocallit) and put the tiny head nod at the start of my videos that they provide me with gear. I figured that's the least I can do.

No wrong way to feel about it. If you're given the opportunity, I would suggest go for it, but if you feel strongly against it then don't :)

Brilliant. Took the majority of the impact my right knee and rolled a few times. Jeans are hardly skuffed, no damage to my knee, jacket is skuffed, didn't hit my head thank God.
 
MotoGP, Cage Rage, Castle

Finally back from festival over the weekend. So dedicated that I still went out and vlogged for you guys. Touched on beer, MotoGP, getting over screaming at people, and stop by a 400 year old castle. My mouth is getting progressively worse in my vlogs which probably means I'm getting more comfortable. Sorry if it offends o.O Thanks for watching.
