Hey guys,
I'm new and this is my first post around here. Recently purchased a Xiaomi Yi Camera and purchased a bunch of mounts, adapters and so on to get my setup the way I like it. Have tried a side mount which worked beautifully with no fault, I prefer a chin mount setup which I've just finished and will be doing some test footages of that soon.
Moving on... I know for the majority that use GoPros you can purchase a 3.5mm mic adapter to use any standard mics to use with your camera. Well given that I have a Xiaomi Yi, that ain't going to work for me. So I am questioning what other methods do people do/use in order to record voice and bike noise! I'm really after a clean setup with less cable mess as well as nothing bulgy/obvious. What are my options? Do I just run a microphone and cable from the helmet, down my jacket, to my smart phone and record that way? Or is there any way I can do it without having my head attached to my pants pocket via a cable.
