Funny Me Out Trying Something Different . . .

Remember to Have Fun! - Solar Bear 2020 Champion
So with the other guys in the riding chapter giving me a bit more freedom to come up with promo videos, I decided to try this. Our next meeting is where we have our annual burger and brats dinner. Here is a twist on preparing the meat . . .

I'm considering a video response where I try to cook a burger and brat on the right side of my 99 VFR 800.

I've had that thing running at 137C (which is way too hot...it never gets past 118C now).

I can often feel my leg cooking though, through my boot even, especially once the fan kicks on (blowing air into the left rad and out the right).

Would you be interested in that? Would be funny to see if any one of us has a bike that can actually cook meat properly.

Go for it!

I did not know how mine would turn out. Luckily I failed because the camera rotated down so I had a lot of footage of asphalt that I chopped out of the final edit. If the food had cooked, then I could see someone calling foul since the food left the sight of the camera.

I checked out your two motovlogs. You have a great voice and the mic picks up the sweet whirring sounds of the motor. So I subbed. Your content was good and I am sure your will do fine.

Heck, who knows maybe we will start a comedy trend for motovlogging. Kind of like a challenge just for the heck of doing it.

That sounds great. Yeah I admit, I skipped forward after a bit when the camera rotated down...but you what? I did get a good laugh out of it, sort of the "yeah that's something that would happen to me" kind of laugh.

Maybe we can start a "how to know if you have a 'real bike'" multichannel series based on how well each of our bikes can do funny things like this or something like that.

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad to hear someone likes my content, because I don't think I'll ever reckon that it would be interesting to anyone but me. I'm hoping to mix it up and be funny sometimes, insightful other times and maybe a bit inflamatory at other times (but hopefully in a more thought-provoking way...I've been working on a video like that but feel if I mess it up, the point won't come across and I'm going to look like a horrible racist bastard).

Yeah, I sent a pm through this site to you with some ideas too. I like your, "you might have a real bike if... idea. Kind of ties in with the closest Harley dealer doing a customer bike of the month contest. I joked with my wife last night I should a photo of just my odometer reading almost 64k miles and caption it, " enough said".

Not bad for 2014 that burns pant legs but can't cook a sausage in 30 minutes...

Oh, and as far as noone liking your stuff but you, it takes time and as long as you stay true to yourself in making art, then you will have something worth keeping.

As much as I like to brag about my ODO reading, I've only put 4000KM on my bike, it's spent a good chunk of time getting repairs and maintenance though (all expected, more or less). If I can get it to roll over 200,000KM though, I'll be happy.
