Maintenance Costs?

So I just had my CBR in for its first service, which does not involve checking/adjusting valves. Total came out to like $140CAD, which seems supah high.

Curious to hear what you guys pay?

Don't bother telling me to do it myself, I work on cars for a living, and the idea of turning a wrench on something I bought purely to enjoy myself on makes me want to puke .

if your job entails spannering other folks wheels, you are probably more than aware how little you get for your money on these in between services. It boils my piss to have to pay £70 an hour to a dealership that will probs get it's apprentice to service my bike. If I could I'd happily do it myself but then the warranty gets void so we have to pay.... and yup, we pay through the nose for absolutely nothing except a stamp in the handbook.
