Made fun of for buying a NInja 300...

the ninja 300 should have no problems going 70 or 80, even mine does still being in the 4th gear, so you go and get those cagers :D

Or you could do what i do on a 125, just ride it like a mad man, make it go round a corner faster than the pleb on the 1000 infront of ya ;) Not sure they like it when a cbr125 goes around the outside while dragging his knee

I've gotten more shit for buying a 600 instead of a 1000 than I ever got for the 250 (granted these comments are all from the guys a work with the typical stretched, fat rear tire bikes). Like everyone else has said, ignore the haters, and just enjoy your machine.

you will ride a 300 faster and easier to your abilitys better than you could ride a 1000
I feel the same way, and I'm getting there.

I think 300 are pretty bad ass.

Yup me too and especially with the Yoshimura Slip On I just got.

My brother in law has a GSXR 1000, he rode my bike and he loves the handling on it and wants to get his own. SO BAM

I notice the people who talk the most shit are people who don't have a bike or have never ridden a bike.

People i notice who talk shit are usually the guys on 1000cc motorbikes that havent ridden anything else and think they are badass for doing track days

Haha good point guys. The one thing right now I dislike about the 300 is that on the freeway, sometimes the speed of traffic is going about 70-80mph. I really feel like I'm at the mercy of the cars at that point. The only thing I can do is match speed or slow down.

Yeah, it may be underpowered for the "hardcore people" that may make fun of you for riding the Ninja 300, but hey, who gives a damn what they think? You bought the bike to get u from point a to point b, and for it to be beneficial to you economically. Even with me, with a 1300 cc bike I now have, I have enough power to overtake even a Harley rider that thinks that they have the best bike on the road if needed. My bike has ABS and Traction control as standard options as well as all LED lights, but that is not why I have it. You have to start somewhere, and the Ninja 300 is perfect, and it also all depends on your income and what it will allow, so do not let anyone tell you different. Shadowboxer says it best in my opinion, but in my opinion, it is not what you ride, but what you feel comfortable with both in finances and in comfort level in riding. You gain experience more on a lower cc bike than on a larger cc bike, and can improve on your skill levels as you get more familiar with it, and then by the time you are ready for a more powerful cc bike, you will know exactly what each bike is capable of doing and the power and the weaknesses that each one has, in my opinion.

Welcome to the world of riding I guess? It's my first bike too lol.

I also go over riding in the rain briefly.

New video with new microphone setup
Don't let anyone make fun of you for anything. The motorcycle community is full WANNA BE racers and tough guys.. Keyword is WANNA BE. Don't let it fade your game. All bikes are cool.

300's are sweet. I started on a versys 650, after 8 months I moved to a Concours 14 but now i'm on a DRZ400SM. I have more fun on the DRZ and its only a 400cc single.

Screw the haters, if that's what's works for you, be it the comfortability, or price, welcome to a brotherhood, those the laugh because you didn't start on a 600 or liter are punks and wannabes. I started on a 600, though I never judge. Your on two wheels and are experiencing something that many won't ever experience.

Here, I will add a bit more. I started off with a cruiser as my first bike. When I got my Ducati, it felt like I learned to ride all over again. Eventually I got over it learned to ride. That said, looking back about 5 years ago, I should have gotten a 250cc, learned to ride the shit out of it, then kept as a loaner bike for friends.

I only took a little crap from some buddies who do not ride. I use to have a 2007 Honda 125R to get started on. the little bikes are great for learning. I never really got made fun which is strange cause I sometimes ride with my father who rides a Triumph rocket III. Moved up to a 1994 GSX-R 750 W. have fun with the bike learn what you can from it the low cc bikes are way more forgiving than the bigger bikes.

Ride Safe.

PEACE

Ride your own ride, who cares what other say. I love the look of the 300's! Great video man! Looks like your out here in socal?

This was my first bike, the Suzuki Raider R150. High-revving, 150cc single cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, 6-gear maddness in all its glory.

Now imagine an 80kg, 1.7m, 30y/o man on the back of it on the highway commuting every day for two years in a big city.

You can feel better now.
