Jesus christ, having some fun this winter.

So far, I know that; Laurie Jennifer has bugger her clutch lever (not sure of the exact details, I'm sure she's got them somewhere. lol) and SvenGalie has broken his leg after a fall of his bike (thank god it wasn't any worse.)

This winter looks like it's going to suck for the motovlogging community. lol Then again, I'm sure it probably sucks most years.. any other problems that have cropped up over the past week or so? :P

He posted a video this morning , shit the screams ran the shits up me. That sounded really painful. Or he's a wuss either way, it was still a bad fall :(

He rode his Quad with a broken leg last year, I don't think him braking it this year will effect him too much again.

Hope its' a speedy recovery dude.

What sucks is that while the parts are only $60 total, including new gaskets, but labor is 3 times that. Besides that, I still need to replace my fork seals. Again, parts for that is only $30-$40... but then there's labor, which is more like $120. So... I may be out of a bike for several weeks. Back to walking everywhere. Thankfully, work is only 3 miles away. Something like this always seems to happen every holiday season, crash or not. There's always some major, unexpected bills that burns through my savings. Ah, that's life. I had cool things I wanted to get with my Christmas money, like a new camera, but I think I'll spend it on fixing my machine.

That was from a few years ago? Or a year ago? People are saying different things. :P His screams make my skin crawl. :/

So.. it's just Laurie that's gotten something fucked? Unlucky. :P I can't even go out on my bike, and haven't been able to for a couple of weeks due to the constant heavy winds and rainfall. It sucks. :(

Sounds like a fussy rider?

If you think the winds bad wait untill you able to ride he M/way it's 70mph winds all the time.

Rain will always be here thats why we have to purchase decent kit & not a £50 "waterproof" jacket.

He's from Cumbria, seriously, check what the weather was like there yesterday!

Why not get a Haynes manual for £18 and then fit the parts yourself. Nothing like the satisfaction of saving yourself hundreds of pounds by spending an afternoon on your bike.

Well, 30-40 regular winds without even being on the bike are bad enough. lol Never mind the days where it gets worse. And the rain is constant and heavy. What's the point in going out for a ride in heavy pouring rain (and thunder) and heavy winds just for fun? It's not fun. lol

Alternatively just look for trampoline! On youtube. Illustrates the winds pretty well. 2wheelsteve had an interesting/terrifying ride too.

Saw these vids today. Makes me wonder if the universe might be trying to warn me. It's been 13 months since my tib-fib break. Leg still hurts. And I'm STILL going to ride!!!!!!
Stupid is as stupid does.

I also posted this recently. This is a much more common occurrence in the the winter, too, even if you wear reflective gear:

Heads up everyone. Riding in the "off" season (pun?) has its elevated risks compared to summer riding. Friendly reminder. :)

If theres a snow/ ice warning on the news I'll just walk to work or get the bus.

I'd much rather save myself hassel of having to fix my bike or wake up in hospital.

Riding in snow or icy conditions your asking for trouble, if your cought out in it then you react to the situation but I wouldn't purposly ride init.

From around Mid October- Late Feb I'll wear a Hi'vis jacket or a vest.

Much rather look like a 'Pleb' than be killed.
