Hey guys, I want to set up a cam for the back of my bike, but I can't really afford another drift or a gopro at the moment... Any ideas on what I could get and/or a good way to mount it?

Here's a pic of what the back of my bike looks like, if it helps.

I have one of these that I use. It's strong as hell and really stable for the cost. As for camera, I use my old sd cam with the intention of making the video a small picture in picture still like I just did in my motovlog I uploaded today. Mine seems to have come out alright, and you can get decent sd cameras that take video for dirt cheap at most pawn shops.

These seem to work pretty well. I know some guys that ride off road that use them. If they handle off road riding without making jerky, unwatchable videos then riding on the street should be fine.

Here's a video shot with a Kodak Playsport ZX3. The link I gave you is a ZX5. From what I've seen the ZX5 has better image stabilization.

That's what I've been vlogging with(the playsport zx5) and I'd say it's a pretty damn nice cam for the money.

I have a few of the ZX3s and ZX5s and they're awesome for the money. I've used the ZX5 a few times to do kayaking videos. They're also nice and light weight. I got a few magnetic gorilla pods so I can attach them to guard rails and the back of signs for drive by shots. Unfortunately I've had spotty internet connectivity for a month and a half and haven't been able to upload anything.

Thanks guys. That mount looks excellent. As for the playsport, its a bit tall for my perfect world where everything is just how I want it.

could you not just put your current cam (if you have a drift) on the swingarm by velcro?

I could but then it wouldn't be on my head anymore.

fair point. Didnt realise you meant a second cam, thought it was just for a different view
But I still stand by the velcro idea, if you have any spare from the drift then you could use it on a cheap cam
