This was my first time, a couple years ago:

It definitely gets easier. But, there are times you won't even come close unless you're trying. For example, even through I only get my knee all the way down once in the following video, even though I'm clearly riding WAY harder and faster than in the parking lot video above:

Skip to around the 16:00 mark to see what I mean. I generally don't start riding harder until the second half of the session, as it takes longer to warm up your tires on a bike that tops out at 80. lol

Heres mine, red dot is when my knee is down. You can just about hear it.

knee down without sliders on my textiles..done that twice lol

fast cornering for me means hanging off the bike, using my body to drag the bike around the corner without needing to use maximum lean angle, also gives you more margin for error and a greater feel when on the outer limits.

It says the video is 'private' and I'm obviously not on the list and can't come in.

Fixed...

I know some of you on here have said you've never seen the appeal of getting your knee down... well just look at this pic of Stefan Bradl. Can you even BEGIN to imagine experiencing this sort of thing?

And whilst I doubt I'll ever get that much of a kneedown, I am truly in awe of pictures like this! And THAT is why I want to do it myself!

Really doubt anything like this is possible on the road with our standard road tyres!

I don't want to try it because of what can happen should it go wrong :/ That being said, I've got no chickenstrips left without getting my knee down.

Kneedown doesn't actually offer any more stability... Its actually slower with your knee down then with up... Stability is increased due to the leaning off the seat.

You'll notice that alot of the race riders will lift their knee slider up when it touches the floor... its used more of an indication as to how far you are leant over and also as a way to prevent you from loosing the leathers on your legs :P

Looks cool though :D
