Dear all,

Since my brother and I vlog together, I was wondering whether to do something with the License Plate or not.
For example if I want to speed up (lets say 100m/h) where the speed limit is 60m/h, am I able to get in trouble or not?

Regards,

MotoMonkey!

Depends on how strict is the law enforcement where you live you can get in trouble or not.
I don't upload too much on the tubes but nobody here cares about something like that. Nobody got in jail because of something they posted on the internet.
Now, in the streets, nobody cares again. You can go 120Km/h in a 60, fly past a police car or bike and they won't do anything. Just in case, I ride with no plates. I don't know if you can do something like that where you are.

You can always blur the plates in post-pro which is a pain or simply stick a paper covering the plate. I don't know. If you ride reckless where law enforcement is heavy, you're asking to get caught.

Think of it this way. Your posting evidence against yourself in a felony case. It really depends if you local authorities look at youtube and hunt people down. Its possible for local cops to bring charges from your own youtube/online stunts/videos/hijinks but its very unlikely. I suggest never starting a video from your apartment/home, when doing a high speed run point the camera a little downward to capture the dash but not so much of the landmarks ahead and do not ever film your license or give your full name.

I also post ever video on youtube with the preface that I found the footage on a memory card in mexico. It may sound stupid but not saying "This is me this is me doing 150mph on 1st street go's a long way. For ever youtube motovlogger/hooligan that is somewhat protective over their identity there are 100 that aren't.

Jakethegardensnake doesn't say where he works, you don't see his home, no license plate or id etc... All you get is his bike, sometimes his face, and riding.

If you have a water proof enclosure for your camera setup like most of us that use a sony/gopro/jvc etc.. you can drill a little hole in the latch and attach a tiny lock as well. That way the cops cannot obtain your footage without a warrant at least if you are pulled over and arrested.
