Let's All Give Each Other Some Advice! (comments To Every Poster!)

Superballs just watched your deadcat/no deadcat vid. Took a little while to get to a part of the deadcat part to hear you talk for more than a moment. I tried experimenting with different materials also, besides a "real" windsock. I've come to like medical gauze wrap- that thin perforated bandage stuff. I fold it over a couple times then put it over my mic and tape down the edges. Seems to keep he wind off without interfering with the sound, more low profile too.

Every video I watch from here I subscribe to them.
It supports them but also good motivation and inspiration!!

Will watch some more tonight after work :)
Dude Jaf you've got a SICK bike. I don't know how I hadn't gotten around to subscribing to you yet! I've been drooling over the GSXR1000 for months now...

I just got back from 5 days in northern Ontario. I got some dash footage of the roads north of Toronto that, despite being from my car, I want to work into a video to show some of our northern roads up here. I got them in 1440p as well and will start using that as my standard upload resolution I think (even if you have a 1080p monitor always watch things on YouTube at higher resolution as the improved bit rate will make it look a lot better).

I might try this idea myself

What Frame rate did you use?

I tend to lower my music tracks to -10 to -15 dbs over my voice track.

- Wuf
If the music is purely to fill in silence, I usually put it -20 or lower than the main audio, having total silence especially if you are recording in a room/hall might feel a bit empty for the viewer listening, so just a faint background noise can serve as a silence filler, it's so faint you can barely hear the music because to me, it's not meant to be overpowering your primary track.

Just my thoughts on it.

Shoot :) I thrive off of constructive criticism. - as long as it's constructive though. If you're just going to opinionate, then no thank you lol
Don't worry I'll stay professional :D CBRHoonigan, Lurch, 2WV, Sighbored should get comments within the next 24 hours

I usually stick with -11db too! After some testing I think it's the best volume, at least when listening through my computer's speakers
If you really want to try something cool, try listening through headphones. If the recording was done with a stereo mic, you will hear the cars actually go by!
