LED tail lights on a helmet?

So i was out last night and saw some guy blast past me in town. Other than his complete disregard for the posted speed limit I also noticed he had red LED lighting on the back of his helmet. I've looked around a bit and have yet to find anything of the sort. Anyone familiar with this? Not sure if its a product or a homebuilt setup.

There are loads of different options available if you do it yourself.
 
I've seen a few cyclists who have battery operated flashing red lights on their helmet. I'd imagine it would be like that. I'd highly doubt it would be something linked to the actual breaking system. That would mean plugin yourself into the bike which would be dangerous in the event of a crash. Would be basically volunteering for a snapped neck.

My dad has a "GMax" helmet that has a little light you can switch on and off via a button on the back. Sales manager I know has one on her helmet too. It is a breast cancer awareness edition and it's light is pink.

They are both full face modular with sun shade built in. Press once for solid light, twice for flashing, three times for faster flashing.
 
I have a gmax helmet that has 6.. i think i's 6 or 8 LEDs near the top just under the exhaust vents. cycles between: off, on, slow blink, fast blink. It REALLY helps in my area to get cars to back off. reach back, tap the button twice and they freek out like OMG FLASHING LIGHTS. give a good 3-4 more car lengths, make sure to turn it back off once they back off though so they KNOW thats why you turned it on.

You know what, I'd completely forgot wireless technology even existed then. Even though I typed this on a iPhone haha.
I'm gunna have to take that as a sign I'm getting old lol

I like this idea. I've been just throwing my left arm up in a WTF.!? gesture then I hold my hand out from my waist and rapidly push down several times. So it should be translated as WTF!!! SLOW DOWN AND GET OFF MY ASS BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS!!

Got pulled over by a cop for doing this(at night in the rain) because the asshole flew up behind me from outa nowhere and was on my ass. He said he pulled me over because he wasn't sure whether I flipped him off or what. I politely chewed him out and asked how he had the time to stop and talk when he's apparently in a great big hurry enough to ride a motorcycles ass in the rain at night. He didn't have an answer for me, so I congratulated him on setting an excellent example. Then went home and called the sheriff to report him as reckless and harassing citizens after putting them in danger on the road for no emergency or any other said reason. I'm sure nothing happened because I still see the asshat from time to time, but he's usually obeying traffic laws lately. lol
