Led Lighting Pros And Cons

I like LED replacement for Halogen bulbs IF they are designed properly. I also have seen the trend spread among manufacturers but I am concerned with the half circle spread that seems to be showing up more and more.

So, I want to share a bit of information that I wrote up a couple of years ago and see what you who ride at night in the countryside think. Feel free to vote and even comment. Be sure to cite factual data if you comment.

Just in case the link does not work, I am attaching my photos. Just for clarification, if I did not invert the passing lamps - they would project overlapped the headlight spread the same as the headlight.

Top is low beam, next is high beam, then low with passing lamps, and then high with passing lamps.

Depending on the brand of LED you are using you might find the globe can be rotated in the housing to solve this problem.

I had to do it with the ones that I put in my bike.

Thanks. I am referring to what the OEM are putting in as stock now. Some of those cannot be rotated. I got lucky because HD did not do so good locking the passing lamps into only sitting one way in the housing.

Too funny... They have other v-twin on there too. Who knows, you might make some friends down the street. Pretty decent group overall.

Maybe... There is a section for Japanese and European cruisers. So the Diavel may be in there.
