General Lake Gruyere, Salute Part 2 & Propositioning Motovloggers - Motovlog 013

Great vid.

Here's a thing - if you see a vid on YT, are you meant to comment here or there ;)

"Zero to naughty!"
I like that quote :-)

This was a nice upbeat blog, and it was fun to listen to.

I'm actually your typical miserable and sarcastic Brit, but something about Switzerland changes me!
I'd love to ride around in the UK and Europe. You guys have it so good there to have such a wealth of different environments and cultures to visit just a few short hours from your home.
You should try some of the roads here in Canadaland :-)
Guaranteed to make you happy!

Man Switzerland is beautiful. Would love to ride over there. If my rich biological father (who was the mailman now CEO of UPS) ever kicks the bucket and gives me an inheritance this looks like the first place I would go.

Have you ever considered mirroring the PIP? So that when you wave left in the main pic, you wave 'left' in the small pic too! Sounds weird, but I think it would be more natural to the eye of the beholder!

Hmm, that's a very simple change to make, but I think it might look weird.

Were you thinking of it so that if I raise my left arm, the arm on the viewers left in the crotch cam also goes up?

Exactly that.

In my riding into Andorra video (where the helmet cam corrupted all my footage) I did this to make the extra shots appear like rear view mirrors.

Give it a whirl. I reckon it'll look less weird than you think. And you'll always be waving in the same direction in both shots when you point stuff out.

I've chucked in some pip footage into my vlogs since getting the Hero. I kept thinking about flipping it, might try it see if anyone notices!

All that said, it's not so much arms it's when the helmet cam looks left for the view, the pip helmet looks the other way, and will people focus on the face as that's where words come from?

Added text would be fine, flip the vid and do titles in their own layer. As for signposts etc, it's an infill pip with mostly you in frame, just logos on your kit, but it's 1/10 the size of the bigger picture, literally ans sotospeak.

Might go flip the two I have waiting in the pipeline myself, luckily I'd not deleted the project files :)

I don't ever delete the project files. They're so small and I've had to go back to a few for various reasons already.

I figure once it is published then that's that, no going back! Certainly once it has been up a few days.

I'm Now needing to consider deleting old footage, had the camera since April/May, and despite the fact I kerp vanishing for work away from the bike, I have 1TB of stuff. Need to find some affordable storage as I'd like to keep footage for a year, then I can do a "roundup". Maybe...

I never edit the originals, but if I want to make a collage or grab a clip it's better to go to the source than snipping and re-rendering an export.
