Just Curious

Mr fish

It's not what , it's how
im just curious do the Bluetooth mic setups reduce the battery life of the gopro ?

The extended battery back back pack will extend your gopro battery life, but that is additional bulk and weight, not much though.
Usually if you buy the "kit" of the bluetooth you are using it will come with a extended case for your device as well.

Thanks for the advice ,I think I'm going down the normal mic route and getting another waterproof case (in black) so I can cut a hole in the clear one ... Maybe when I get better at this techno stuff I will invest lol

I am actually saving a bit to go the digital voice recorder route. It does not look hard to sync in imovie at all. But for now i have a hole drilled in my case as well and a wired mic routed around in my helmet.
Sound is not bad at all.

The only reason I was considering the Bluetooth was for filming in the rain (it's england) but I think what I will do is talk / babble on nicer days and just ride on the crappier days

You'll need 2 cases then if you've drilled a hole in yours.

You can vlog in the rain with a drilled case as long as the hole is a very tight fit for the cable or you use some blutack to seal the hole.

I'm with a few people if you can take the time and remember to do the three clap thing once everything is working it is just a whole lot easier to use an external mic set up.
