A lot of excitement seeing that number grow.

I have a few questions though for some of you a bit higher up and more popular-
How did you get sponsored?
What is the process like and how are you liking it?

Of course tell me whatever you can without getting yourselves into trouble, but I'd be interested in getting into a few sponsorships and supporting some of my favorite companies and (of course), FREE KIT! hahah

Social Blade. However this, Wont be renewed once i am out of contract.

And honestly, I'm not hoping for money, however any type of sponsors help with doing this hobby because otherwise it's one more thing to buy.

So you'd suggest going for companies we like, use and such?

My ideals would be Drift, Rotella (I use their oil), Roadgear, AGV Sport, Tourmaster and frankly a boot company too.
I absolutely LOVE my Drift camera. Their products are great, well priced, function exceptionally and I could use a second battery/ a longer lasting battery.
Rotella makes the Rotella T 15W-40 that is approved for my wet clutch system and runs good in my older bike.
Roadgear makes these wonderful gloves that are leather yet very cool, comfortable and just great.
AGV sport makes my pants that I love. Survived me through supermoto school!
Tourmaster made the jacket that I have been wearing for over 2 years now. Excellent quality and my stepfather crashed in his. Hardly damaged on a 60 mph low side on the freeway
And boots are expensive. But I'm sure I'm dreaming, but that's the idea right?


For the most part, I'm sorta curious how you all went about the process? Unless you're ultra fancy popular like ARL (jk bro), you need to contact them. But what's the process? "Hey, I like your stuff. Gimme more of it and I'll make videos of it."
Or how does that even work?

Disclaimer: I havnt done it... but

You should approach them as if you are doing THEM a favour. The Drifts, Gopros, AGV's of the world are never going to believe you, but someone smaller might. Maybe do a couple of reviews of stuff you have already got. Then hit your local store, tell them about your reviews and how popular they have been. Ask them if there is anything they have that they want the word spread about (maybe a new online component of the store, maybe an exclusive product, maybe just their awesome service). BUY it, review it. Go back and tell them about the awesome response. Maybe the next item will be discounted. Maybe the one after that will be free?

Remember, most businesses are not stupid. They want to know how your review will turn into sales. Even the likes of BVG are being tested. Look at the code he got told to distribute. The camera place he promotes is keeping a very accurate record of every sale that comes through with BVG's discount code. If its a lot, they will continue to sponsor him. You should be a good salesman or very popular to get any sort of sponsorship deal.

If my advice works, i expect a kickback! Now get to work Strider!

Yeah, that's somewhat what I'm thinking will have to happen (getting popular first)

However, of course we get a tad impatient.

I sorta wanted to look at it in the way that-
"Hey, I really like your products. Whenever someone asks about X, I tell them why yours is best and try selling them on the idea that it IS the best because I think it is. I can't prove it's sold any X, but I was hoping we can help each other out. I can make videos and reviews and tell people about your products and in return you help me out with making the videos in the form of A, B, and/or C"

But I can't tell if I'm looking at this in a flawed way. Of course this is not something I'd send to a company word for word, but I do typically tell people about the things I own and if I like them I tell them why they should own them. And if I don't like it, I get rid of it.
