Its official I suck

CVentures

Rookie Rider
So last time out, flopped the bike over and a rock went through the clutch cover and oil leaked out so had to push it out.

Finally got that fixed, and tonight, flopped it over on a rock in a brook, water sucked in the cylinder. Wouldn't start as a lot of water made its way in. Pushed the 255lb bike and gear out a full mile so a truck could get in and pick us up in the dark.

So yes I officially SUCK!

That stinks, nothing worse than a ride cut short by bike damage. Well maybe rider damage would be worse. Might want to look into engine guards to protect the bike.

Bad luck CV, hope the water didn't damage the engine. Is worth having a sparkplug spanner on the trials so you can get the water out.
You'll probs need to flush the oil a few times to get the water out of the bottom end too.

It happens, that is part of dirt biking. Luckily even damaged, if you are mechanically competent, dirt bikes are easy and relatively cheap to fix. Knowing you are going to drop it in the learning process, if someone makes case savers and other protection, it would be worth that investment.

Yes, i video’d. Editing it now. Ordered top end for the bike, have the pipe off, carb off, top end off and drying it out. Bike will not start at this time. Worried the rod may be bent, Pipe was full of water, there is water in the bottom end, so trying to get that dry, drained all the fluids.

Sounds like a fair series of unfortunate events for sure. Hopefully repair bill is not too expensive.
