Is motovlogging safe, or is motovlogging dangerous? Is filming and talking while riding really a bad idea? This Goldwing moto vlog is how I feel about the topic from my own motovlog experience.

This was inspired by a video Kaptain Granite made a few weeks ago, I've been thinking about it ever since.

I think if we thought it was distracting, we'd not do it. Multiple cameras is no more distracting to me, I only get distracted by them when I am turning them on or off, and I am stopped and often not even on the bike at that point! :)

Since filming this motovlog I've gotten my Hero 7 for the handlebar cam and done some filming with it, and yeah I agree having two cams isn't any more taxing than using one. In fact I quite enjoy having two cams so far!

Honestly, i'm often more focused when motovlogging then when not motovlogging.
My mind tends to wonder when i'm not vlogging and getting distracted by the wrong things.

It is worse when i'm in car, and i just get bored riding xD

That's an interesting point. For myself I think I'd agree with this honestly.

My motovlogs are me talking out loud about what I'm thinking or paying attention to anyway, for the most part. I'd avoid discussing emotional subjects while riding, I gander, as could see that take away my focus.

Good video idea for sure.

I've never found it distracting, except when there's something wrong with a camera - it's become loose, or I'm not sure if it's still recording from the SD card getting full, or batteries dying. Other than that I've found it no different than speaking with my wife while we're 2-Up.

I think one has to be a good rider before they do decide to try motovlogging. I had five years of riding experience (I know, not really a lot) before I began buy first motovlog. I don't think its something I would have tried right after O got my license and bike.

I feel I am definitely a lot more aware when vlogging, as I am looking for idiots on the road more to capture on camera, and if I do see one, I am keep to keep way back out to their way behind them to be able to film, where if I did see them when not filming I might be more tempted to pass and be in front of them!
