International Vlogging And Accents.

Obviously not everyone has English as a mother tongue. Some can speak better and some can't.

Now I can handle English quite well but , since there aren't many English speaking people in Greece , I have failed to form a proper accent. According to my certificate I can : "engage effectively and independently in a number of different speech events using a range of language correctly and appropriately." That includes the correct pronunciation of words but not the accent part which right now is a mess of British accents and the typical Greek accent that sounds terrible all the time.

And now I am asking ; how do you get past this? I have tried 8 times in the past 2 months to make an intro vlog but fail miserably every time I listen to my English accent.
Should I roll with it?
Should I try to scrap the accent I have "forged" and speak the characteristic Greek one?
Should I an hero?

Stop worrying. Put the video up. People will get used to any accent you have. Just concentrate on making good vlogs. Have fun and good luck.

Agreed. Variety is the spice of life. I know my accent is annoying, hell I can't stand it but everyone's got one some cooler than others.

I Vlog with a broad Yorkshire accent and many phrases and sayings which are possibly not fully understood outside the region. let alone the UK.

I'll still keep doing it, but am half expecting comments asking for subtitles or translations

Its your voice and your accent, we all have one and its great Film your shit and dont stress about how you sound, As long as the audio is clear your viewers will get used to the accent and enjoy your vids for what they are

your accent may actually be the winning formula for people to enjoy your vlogs! Our accents are hideous where i come from so i doubt its any worse than that! Go for it, post it up!

Don't be too quick to delete stuff, you can always decide to delete later, whereas you may mot be able to recover the emptied trash bin.
