Indicater Speed Is Faster?

One of my two indicator sides blinks rapidly and the other one blinks at normal speed, what causes this?

I'm guessing they are bulbs and not led if you replace the bulb it should fix it. In cars it's a sign of the builds on their way out or one out. If it was a relay both sides would be effected. Most bikes run a single flasher relay that runs both sides.

If it's not a burnt bulb, then did you change one of the bulbs to LED or lower wattage? Probably double check your fuses are all correct Amp while you are at it.

Too much power, so would be an issue at the relay. Unless, you've got old globes and LEDs mixed or different wattage bulbs. Is any specific indicator less bright? As could be a bad power connection to it.

Standard flashers use resistance in the circuit to determine the speed of the flash. As mentioned, a blown bulb or swapping to an LED bulb changes the resistance and the flash speed. It's a built in fault indicator. Double check your bulbs.

Normally this indicates that one of the bulbs on the faster blinking side is going out/out.

On my KLR, it did this and my rear right bulb was barely visible during the day. Replaced it and works normal

Would suggest replacing both bulbs on the faster side (front and back?), to rule out a faulty bulb, first.
Check the specification of the bulbs on the "good" side, so you pickup a matched set of new ones. Best not have mixed rating bulbs.

I've replaced the original bulb indicators on my Bike for LED indicators, also adding an electronic Flasher Relay that will work for LEDs OR bulbs. (it also means you don't need any Resistor harness attached inline with the new LED indicators (cleaner wiring).
