okay, im planning to buy a Yamaha TFX 150 from a local bank here in our city. it cost 9k php (157.69 USD) and it is stuck up and they didnt use it for a long time, im still saving up money to buy it, but getting a second thought of not buying it because the restoration might be expensive. and the other thought is i really love the bike, the design, feels like im gonna drive a sports bike. can you guys help me on this one?

If you're handy with repairs, it can provide quite a bit of content. If it's worth it financially should definitely be your own judgement, because they are your finances.

Considerations would be what time you have to do the work, whether parts are still available, space requirements for the work, and if you have the knowledge, manuals, and the tools, to do the work yourself.

i'm quite handy with repairs, i dont go to any mechanics here cuz i think they will rip me off.

i'm going to be available mostly within the next 6 months if i buy the motorcycle. i got a garage too to work.

I think it is definitely a big project. By stuck up do you mean the engine is seized from sitting?

It looks like a nice bike, but I would be more concerned about parts availability for a motorcycle that, if I am not mistaken has been discontinued. If you have the tools, the knowledge to do your own repairs and it is easy to find replacement parts, you should be ok. If not, you could end up with a money pit.
