I'm Looking For A Series/movie To Watch.

I'm a big fan of Ewan McGregor's "The Long Way Around" & "The Long Way Down".
I am wondering if there are any similar shows/movies I can add to my must-watch list?
I don't think his California to Southern Chile trip ever came to fruition. :(
Thanks.

Make your own series :). Get on that bike and travel. I'm preparing for a trip around Europe next year, cause I need tons of stuff.

The Motorbike Show with Henry Cole was entertaining and I found that on Netflix. And there is Ride with Norman Reedus, hard to find since AMC is stingy with their content. I really enjoyed his adventures around the US, and found one of my favorite podcasts from the show, Motorcycles and Misfits at the Re-Cycle Garage Podcast.

Thanks for the recommendation. I am enjoying the Honda restore project. I have a GN 250 project bike in my garage and this has me motivated to give it a proper tune-up.

Excellent, the GN 250 sounds like a fun project. I need to find me a project bike for the winter. Possibly have a 79 Suzuki 550 that a friend wants to part with that needs a lot of love as it is currently in thousands of pieces. Might be a bit more than I can chew though.

"The Long Way Around" & "The Long Way Down".
Keep meaning to watch this! other half is always ranting and raving about it whenever bikes come up in discussion! :D - Is it on Netflix or anywhere like that?

Looks like the only option for both of these is to purchase them. Netflix removed them from streaming on 15th February 2017.

I started watching that on Amazon prime video, but only got about ten minutes in. Does the main character ever stop acting like a douche? Cause that was what pulled me out of it.

Hmmm.. I think you should give it 20 minutes more, but I hardly ever stop watching a movie after I started it.

I'll give it a go this weekend. Maybe I was just being pissy that day and couldn't get into it. Loved the idea of riding around the southwest of the US on a bike with a sidecar. I spent my first two years on my bike in the Southwest and loved everyt minute of it.

I finally got around to finishing The Best Bar In America and have to say it was worth finishing. The protaganist, Sanders, becomes such a better character when he starts adventuring with Northway, the wise mage with road won knowledge that needs to be passed down. Their relationship was great and worth waiting through the first act to experience. Much like the main character had to wait until the right moment to be capable of experiencing what he goes through with Northway.

I recommend this to anyone who likes a good road adventure story. Thanks fazer_1000 for suggesting I stick it out.

That's cool to hear mate, glad you liked it. Where did you find it btw? Did you buy the DVD?

I got to meet Ewan MacGregor when he came to my city!
sorry I don't have a series to add to the topic of discussion

I need a recommendation too, if it is possible on Netflix, last night i started watching Lost, but i think is too mainstream
