@LoneWolfer just posted on Instagram about IGTV. So me being hi-fi curious, looked online and sure enough Instagram has expanded the video capability significantly. Now how does affect each of us?

Well, for me I was using Instagram connected to my business Facebook page to post photos. I know one motovlogger on here that seems to use theirs to post teaser photos related to upcoming videos, which is an amazing idea. I then YouTube posting to Facebook to do the moving/talking pictures that I have heard so much about these days.

So far, it does not look like there is monetization involved in IGTV yet. Plus the screen orientation is supposed to be different?

I am not sure all the details but I am telling fella's down at the backlot to break out the film because we may be shooting a talkie soon for IGTV.

I use the "how to" vids to bring folk to my channel, then the castles and other bits to keep them entertained once subbed. Do you not think it could water down your YouTube channel to post on multiple platforms?
I will have a look at the link you shared to see what the options are! :-)
I do like the idea of sneak peaks of vids to maybe get folk to check out the full video on YouTube though :-)

So it looks to be just video uploads, can you add links in the description that are clickable? I really am not a fan of video in portrait lol, it cuts out so much.
I have set up a channel, will try and make a vid over the next few days if I can.

It sounds like an interesting idea, but No - NO - NO! Please don't normalize Vertical Video Syndrome!
Why are they encouraging people to shoot and use their phone camera's wrong? I get that's what most
people do, but it's always going to be ameture hour on the new website. Our eyes see horizontally.

I downloaded it. WFT is that crap. Even some of the key youtubers who they would want to get across are bagging it out.

Its just random videos for no reason.

Is there any app that can record video in a square output format? I would only consider uploading video on IG in square format.. I am still a believer that IG posts should always always be in square form and nothing else.

I put videos on my story... not interested in the IGTV however can see SOME benefits but the vertical thing is just too much!

clearly just Instaham's grab at some frustrated YT creators. None of these platforms provide transparency to the creators. I have a feeling this is going to change in the next few years, whether its management or a new platform
