Thatis the same "problem" i had the first week, maybe 2, and then it is going.
It sounds like the perfect fit

Yeah, after a few days it loosens up a bit. still a bit hard to get on and off but it's much better then it was. and it's super comfy when I wear it.

I've got two of them, and they both were really hard to get on and off for a little while. Mine have loosened up the perfect amount though, they still fit tightly, but don't rip my ears off when I put the helmet on and off.

I haven't been able to ride at all in a while thanks to the weather here. But the Helmet is 100% more comfy now. I'm curious to see if I had gotten a Alliance dark in Large instead of extra large if it would have fit better like the Variant

Everyone has it because it looks so much like the master chief helmet! I can understand the appeal. Expect nimrods to go "You're imitating YummiR6!" though!

I think you should go to a local shop that stocks them and try them on. You really don't want to drop a lot of money on a helmet that doesn't fit right!

This is off-topic, but do you guys have the Spyder Helmets in your place? I strongly recommend the Spyder Hex Supermoto Helmet (Master Chief limited edition), if appeal is your game. I have a video of it, just skip to 4:12 (I'm not trying to advertise I just thought you guys would like this)

I've been thinking about getting an Icon Variant Helmet (yes I know at this point it's kind of a joke that every motovlogger has one)

I like the style of them and from what i've heard the build quality is awesome. My plan is to keep using my Icon Alliance as my filming helmet, and for days where I'm not filming to use the Variant.

However my issue is that my Alliance is an XL and at first it was really tight and now it's just a tiny bit loose. my head measures at exactly 23.5 inches, which is the very largest for a size large and the very smallest for an extra large.

I would like to get into a large but i'm a bit worried it'll be to tight... any suggestions?

On the topic of choosing between 2 sizes, as someone who also sells motorcycle gears, I always recommend the tighter one. In your case, I can totally understand the hesitation. I found myself exactly in the same situation and I chose Large over XL. If I wore the helmet for an hour, I start getting a headache. At a stoplight I take it off, then shake my head. It happened during the first few weeks of my using the helmet, not much now
