I need advice :/ Video license

Hello Lewis94iify, I would like to license your video "Faceplant+How to Pronounce Lewis94iify" for $150 so that it can appear on our channel. (We pay you, so we can use your video).

My name is Ryan and I am the head researcher for ChiWay Entertainment, a media company in Hollywood, CA that licenses viral videos. We license viral videos so that we can show them on our main youtube channel called FailArmy- http://www.youtube.com/user/failarmy

FailArmy shows weekly videos featuring the best fails/accidents/mishaps of the week. Our channel now has over 1.8million subscribers.

Do some google searches on the company and that Ryan character. Ask if you still retain ownership of the video rights before agreeing to any licensing deals. $150 sounds like a nice chunk of change...

Seems legit. I've asked that he send a copy of the license form, we'll see how that goes. I think ChaseOnTwoWheels has a clip in the latest compilation they uploaded so I've sent a youtube message over

Ye, their videos get over 3 million sometimes. But considering it took no real effort or anything for me to capture the footage, and being a low traffic channel, a link in the description and the fee is quite a good offer

I have gone for it. Sent them the clip. They can't really twist it at all, it's just a woman falling over And the channel is a fail channel with compilations of people getting hurt mostly.

Did you ever get paid? I did the same for one of my videos back in April and I have not heard back from Ryan since.

I did, quite a while ago now Wasn't any problems. I don't think they've used my video yet (failarmy), but they probably have loads of clips and only upload one video a week.
