I hate cagers even more now...

I don't usually like this sort of mini life update, this is what happened to me post, but I needed to vent my anger. On the way home from work, about 10pm I came across a women broken down on a very dangerous stretch of road, fast but with blind corners. I pulled in front of her car and went to see if she was ok, that being the decent thing to do. Turns out she had stalled but got it going again. So I go back to my bike, which now won't start, what does she do. Drive around me and f**ks off, after sitting there watching me obviously struggling to start it for a minute. So after I helped her, she now leaves me, exposed on an extremly dangerous road, in a terrible place to be stopped, with only an indicator (no hazard light). Anyway rant over. Frustrations vented.

She probably thought she couldn't help you and wasn't thinking of the extra visibility bit. Thoughtless - yup.

Anyway - after seeing the title, actually quite happy that's all it was as I feared a cager had done something much worse to you! Glad to hear you're ok :)

Even so I would have expected at least an are you ok?

I've seen loads of cars broken down, never stoped to help at 10pm at night in Febuary I'd just want to get home myself forget anything that is going to dely me.

I have however seen a biker brake down & I've gone about a 1/2 mile to the next turn & came back to check if he was ok, turned out he had snapped his chain. That was 5th Jan & it was absoulty pi$$ing it down.

Smile & wave boys, just smile & wave! - Love that film

Normally I would just ride on by, with the temptation of a middle finger, but a lady? It seemed gentlemanly thing to do.

I always stop for bikes - most times they've stopped for a break and just give me the 'ok' and I'm off again.

Cars? I don't think I've ever stopped for a car, but I wouldn't rule it out.

There was a time when I was working as a surveillance operative, and on this particular job the plan was to fake a breakdown and then act as a trigger when the target left the location so the rest of the team would follow. I rode to the location, started looking down at the engine, pulled up and got to work removing a fairing panel to make it look as good as possible.

Within seconds a bike with the loudest -ing race can I've ever heard in my life came popping and banging down the road adn stopped to help, probably alerting everybody in a 10 mile radius to my stealthy little vantage point! And of course over the next couple of hours every damned bike pulled over to check on me - some twice as they went back the other way and saw me still there!

I love the fact that so many bikers look out for each other on the roads, but I learnt not to try that one again!

i always stop for bikes aswell so far most are just they have run out of petrol, so ride to the station find a empty drink bottle in the rubbish fill it with petrol and take it back to him.

and a scooter his fule pipe had broken so i road back to my house got some spair pipe and took it back and fitted it for him iv neaver seen such a happy chap hehe makes you all warm in side.

only car iv stoped for was really a van and i only stoped cos the person run out infront of me and i knew them, pushing a huge transit to bump it is not fun. =[

Loved when I broke down on the motorway in my old car (accelerator cable snapped) not even a single sod stopped to help. No bikers passed so I can't comment on them.
