Went and picked up my Street Triple 'R' today (first big bike) and I was all prepared for doing my first vlog at the same time. By the time I was ready to go to the dealers I was so wired it wasn't true and couldn't focus on anything other than what needed to be done so that I didn't crash on the way out of the dealer :P

Grinning like an idiot because of the bike though... few interesting thoughts went through my head which I wish I'd been recording for:

'Oh my god a warning light, wtf is that?' - first set of traffic lights let me look closer and realise it was the fuel light. Dealer put virtually no fuel in it, so first stop was the garage.

'Why the hell is the whole dashboard lit up like a christmas tree?' - oh yeah, they've set the lights to tell you to change gear at 6k rpm because its not run in yet.

'WTF is everyone on the street looking at me for?' - ah - that'll be the engine coupled with the arrow slip ons making that super sexy noise.

Good fun, despite the rain

Great stuff dude, I've yet to have the joy of a brand new bike from the showroom feeling. What were you riding previously?

Nice one mate, let's see your bike then :)
+1 Pics needed!
I was like that first time doing a vlog, couldn't think of what to say and kept getting distracted, I cant imagine what its like doing your first vlog on a new bike!

I'll do a vlog soon and post a link up.

Brief history that I'd intended on stating - I finally got around to learning to ride a bike and did my CBT in about June last year. The following day I bought a CBF125 to learn on and spent a fair bit of time riding it to/from work or just taking it out in the summer evenings up to places I don't normally go. In August I did my DAS and got my full license, but I've been waiting for a 'big bike' ever since, until last week when Mrs Yarek saw the Street Triple 'R' in the showroom and said 'Buy it, buy it now!' :D

The bike isn't brand new and was first registered in Dec 2010. It had done a total of 248 miles before I bought it last week (not even run in yet!) and has a number of optional extras - i.e. fly screen, belly pan, tank pad, rear hugger, arrow slip on exhausts. Can't describe how excited I was to pick it up, other than to say that to have attempted my first vlog would've been complete and utter folly as I was like a kid who had consumed 5lb of sweets with all the adrenaline

I hate it when they do that. I'm always left thinking why they put so little fuel in when you've spent so much money with them. Annoying!

Good to hear you've finally got the triple, though!
