I deserve a slap

i decided given it has been over 1500k since i checked the oil on my bike (1st Slap) that i should go the local bike store and grab some oil (2nd Slap for not having any)

Got home grabbed some food and then went to check my bike. I pull out the dip sticked (obligatory wipe) and put back in. I removed it and it was bone dry, not even a small amount on the end on the stick....nothing (3rd Slap)

I then made a complete mess trying to get the oil into the bike as i dont own a funnel (4th slap) got oil all over the place, floor engine block the lot (5th slap)

Still bike now has oil and hopefully i havent done any lasting damage letting it get that low.....yes im a dumbass!

You can make a cheep makeshift funnel using a sheet of A4 role into a cone

im not a fan of the cbf's dipstick. (only thing I dislike so far) trying to guage oil level on a bit of black plastic which reminds me of a wine stopper is pretty difficult. I much prefered the more conventional one on the ybr.

ive only done 150 miles and I've already checked twice... shame on you Sir, shame on you. lmao

done 14k miles on mine and change the oil 3 (not including the first oil change after 300ish miles) times. IMHO unless your gunning it all the time a 4k oil change is fine

I've done 22500 miles and checked my oil twice, not including the first change at 500 miles.

Change the filter whats that lol, no i didnt change it this time it is due a service in another 1k so will just wait till then. I dont have the kit to carry it out anyway

Change the filter whats that lol, no i didnt change it this time it is due a service in another 1k so will just wait till then. I dont have the kit to carry it out anyway

the thing with all the crap on it you should replace it as it means you have to change your oil more often

I change the oil when it starts looking funky, or 10,000 miles. Whichever comes first. Quality synthetics ftw.
