I'm pretty sure the word is out, but I had a lowside a few days ago. First of all, yes I'm 100% fine. Second of all, the bike is mostly fine, but not rideable.
Note to self: If it hasn't rained in weeks, there may be a build up of invisible sand in one of your favorite corners. Also, wear your gear. You'll be glad you did. Furthermore, be glad you didn't get it on camera. It will play over and over again in your head enough as it is.

It sucks. I'm fine. Sooo glad I didn't listen to all the people who told me I was crazy for wearing my leathers in this heat that day. By Day Three, all soreness is gone. No bruising, no scratches, nothing. Definitely need to go to the chiropractor tomorrow, though.
Bike is... well, we'll see. The front wheel is obvious. I don't care about replacing the tank, but insurance will. The deep scratch in the frame has me concerned that they'll total it. Also, it won't shift gears. The shift lever isn't broken, but it won't move. In the wise words of Scooby Doo, "Rut Ro..." Rolls fine with the clutch in. Probably a broken shift star, I'm hoping. Happened once on my KLX from a left side slide (on ice).
Forks don't seem bent and neither does frame. The engine guards worked very, very well (as well as the swingarm spools) in that department. Handlebars didn't bend, throttle didn't jam, mirrors didn't break, engine covers are immaculate, no fluids are leaking.
*fingers crossed*
I really like this bike a lot. I really don't want another one.
