so i finally got took off.. by a van driver ><
so heres a link it can serve as an educational video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1UQNMHU8AM

so yeah i didn't expect the driver to keep going since it was a clear view and no traffic by the time i knew he wasn't going to stop it was too late
i've never really trusted road users so maybe it was a bad assumption to think he would stop

second half of the accident is here for those who are interested

ouch. glad you are still with us. tried to post a comment on the vid but got a error (imagine that f!#@$ google  )

hope you heal up fine and get back out there.

Wow, that happened quickly!
How fast were you going? What were the extent of your injuries?
It looks like you weren't going very fast, and that probably helped a lot.
Thanks for the video, it will definitely make me more aware at intersections.

Good to see you came out alright. You shouldn't have to worry about any of the bills. The drivers insurance, employer, or his wallet should pay for any and every expense incurred as a result of him blatantly failing to yield the right of way. Your camera footage will be pretty helpful if anyone tries to deny his fault. Don't be afraid to call some lawyers if something gets left out either. ;)

I don't know if it was because you were unable to but, I don't hear any horn! Whenever I get even slightly close to be part of an accident, I use my horn to get the driver's attention or even other bikers attention, it's an useful practice when somebody is doing something unexpected like swerving around or into your lane. I'm not talking about being rude and horn checking everyone but a small beep should work.
In this case, going crazy over the horn when you see the van going could have made the driver to brake at least and the accident would have been avoided.
As you say, it's easy to talk about it watching from home, just take my message as friendly (?) advice. I'm just glad you're ok. I won't rate because I don't like your video, I hate to see a rider go down like this.

Comment on your page.

Cheers for the 'Battle story'.
You now got some 'Educational stuffs' for fellow riders.

Welcome to the club 'Falloff'. 8-)
Cheers
>:)

OMG horrible looking accident - glad it wasn't worse for you! The nurse is just awesome, what a sweetie. I reckon you were right on his front pillar blind spot (no excuse, a proper look would have seen you)
I don't think anyone could have avoided that, in the time frame, except by being extremely paranoid and slowing to a near stop every time there's a slight chance of someone pulling out.
