I got to test ride the new 2020 Zero Motorcycles SR/F electric motorcycle. The price is steep at $22k, but the ergonomics, braking and torque got me thinking about buying one. Until it broke...!

Ooof, that is pretty shocking (excuse the pun). Hope that isn't a design flaw and is just a one off?

OMG! The rubber band snapped!

Dang, they need the 1.25" final drive belt. Torque kills belts... their answer that it happens to belts is bogus.

I still want to see more of this tech with greater range. Imagine sneaking about at night with the lack of engine sound.

I have driven multiple Zero's and never have broken a belt before,
Not even offroad xD

Kinda interesting to see to be honest.

I’ve been hearing more about their belts breaking since this happened - seems like stories are starting to come out of the woodwork. But I’ve not heard anything from Zero since this happened.
