How?

#1: Do not sweat the numbers
#2: Be yourself, do not try to emulate anyone. Use what other vloggers have done and put your own soul into that. Do not try to be someone you are not, viewers have the uncanny ability to see folks for what they are. Genuine or fake.
#3: Create the best content you can muster. If you think "I could have done a better job" then do a better job. If you think "This is the best I can do with the means at my disposal" you are on the right track.

But most of all: remember to have fun! YouTube is the most awesome hobby ever!

Well... Ahem.... I am certainly a HUGE Motovlogger that you all may know. Look up Trev Key Videos. You'll see me. And may way to gain so many subscribers are to be nice, have a unique way to approach the same ole' thing. I am still trying to figure out my interesting thing. But im sure, if you are diffrent, and interesting, people will watch.

Collaboration is the fastest way IMO. If you live near another motovlogger that is big and can do dualvlogs you are going to grow your channel 1000x faster than someone who is in the middle of nowhere.

Me, I'm in the nowhere crowd LOL. No one surprisingly is around Chicago...but I guess it has to do with our crappy roads expensive to own a bike (ie: no parking anywhere unless $200 p/mo) and weather. Not many riders here. I think the same thing happens to ppl in comparable cities like NYC...no one motovlogs from there either.

You'll be in the Do It With Dan territory soon.

Is popularity really a priority? Do many people vlog to try to get popular? I don't know. I guess it would be cool to get noticed and grow a following, but I just enjoy riding and talking.

Well an audience could give you incentive to keep going I guess.

For me the incentive is more the meet ups I get as a result rather than all you weirdo's who live inside my screen :p

I just make the best videos I can. Since my audio quality is typically awful and nobody can hear my voice I try to keep the visual quality high and work with making better camera angles. Otherwise it's more for fun and to keep track of my progress as a rider/racer. Everything else is just secondary.

Everything on this thread is spot on. Great tips for someone (like myself) who is trying to get started.

Thanks, guys :D
